Spring has Sprung

I love spring with everything coming back to life – trees budding, flowers blooming, and weather warming (hopefully!).
While I love spring, I do suffer from allergies. My spring allergies are fairly mild compared to my fall ragweed allergies, so I stick to my Paragon Plus Respir-Aller formula because it works so well for me.
This spring is being called the Pollen Vortex to follow the Polar Vortex. According to allergy reports, the extreme weather we have experienced - spring-like weather as early as February, but sometimes temperatures dropping as much as 50 degrees in a day plus rain and snow  - is causing an increase in mold and pollen, combining triggers for allergic reactions.
At the beginning of the spring season, a lot of customers come in to our stores to buy a specific homeopathic remedy for tree pollen. This year I expect we have a lot of people also coming in for a mold remedy as well. The idea behind homeopathy is this: Something that with large exposure (like pollen) causes negative symptoms, in a homeopathic dilution can have the opposite positive response in the body. For example, if you are exposed to a lot of pollen, you have symptoms of hayfever – sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes. A homeopathic remedy, which contains just the essence of that pollen, can actually help to alleviate those symptoms, all without suppressing the immune system and without causing drowsiness.  It is very different than our typical Western medical view, but it works! In addition to tree pollen, there are formulas for grass pollen, animal hair/dander, and region specific pollen remedies based on the area in which you live.
If you struggle with allergies and want to try a new natural approach, try the homeopathic approach, or try adding a homeopathic remedy to your current regimen.
