Spring has Sprung?

What happened to winter? I do not count myself in with all those who think it was so great to have such a mild winter. I wanted the hard freezes and some snow. I wanted to control pollen. But alas, that is not the case. In fact, experts say this allergy season will be longer and more severe than normal. So all I can say is get ready.
Many people who shop in the Akin's and Chamberlin's stores have already begun to suffer allergy symptoms. If you suffer from seasonal allergies, now would be a good time to stock up on allergy supplies. I personally keep a good allergy formula (I keep Paragon Plus Respir-Aller on hand at all times, and supplement with Aller-leve if I feel like I need more help) and a neti pot or nasal wash apparatus. If you have not used nasal washes, this is a great way to keep the sinuses clear of pollens and reduce chances for infection. Himalayan Institute makes a nice starter kit that includes a nonbreakable eco neti pot (made from petroleum-free natural bioplastic), neti pot salt, and neti wash that soothes dry passages. And the last thing on my allergy supply list is vitamin C. Adrenals work overtime during allergy season, and vitamin C helps keep adrenals functioning at a healthy level.
So be ready for the LONG allergy season ahead and look on the bright side – we can all enjoy a longer spring this year! Fight allergies naturally and enjoy the long spring outdoors. I know I will.
